Rosie Logan passes her CIPD Level 7 Learning Managing and Developing People Module. She reviews her time at Acacia Learning.

1) What made you choose Acacia Learning?

Acacia offered a flexible approach to learning. They offered weekend workshops, week night lectures, competency based route and was reasonably priced against other market competitors. I liked the way the venues were all located in central London. I had to take the 4 compulsory CIPD modules. However, I had the ability to pick 4 non-core modules which really appealed to me.

2) What did you most enjoy about 7LMP?

LMP was the seventh module that I undertook. Consequently, I liked the way it combined a lot of topics that I recognised from other modules. It was also more applicable to the workplace which made the content easier to understand and retain. The exam allowed you to draw on your experience to date as a HR professional.

3) How did you apply your learning to your job role?

The general theories behind how to engage and motivate employees through involvement and offering development opportunities, has been critical to ensure we maintain a motivated workforce post a series of restructures that we have undertaken.

4) How do you see your career progressing?

I really enjoy the recruitment part of my role, and would like to focus on this more in the future, at the executive level specifically. I am fascinated by the delivery and interpretation of psychometric assessments used within the recruitment space, so would like to become accredited in the Myers Briggs and Hogans test for example. This would complement the executive recruitment direction I would like to head in, as well as using it as a tool for executive development and career coaching.

5) What do your employers think about the course?

My employer is supporting me in my CIPD studies and is delighted that I’m getting development that can also benefit them as an organisation.
