HR Apprenticeships

How to make the most of a HR Apprenticeship

You can use the Apprenticeship Levy to fund a CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management (Level 5).

  • If you're an individual, a HR apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to fully fund your CIPD qualification
  • If you're a business, we provide flexible apprenticeship programmes to help you make the most of your levy
  • If you're an apprenticeship training provider, we can enhance your apprenticeship offering with our CIPD approved qualifications

Apprenticeships can be a complicated area. Our apprenticeship partners Realise can provide you with the support you need to make sure you understand how to make the most of the apprenticeship levy. We will work with you to tailor a flexible programme so funds are being used to meet your business needs.

How your HR Apprenticeship will be assessed

To achieve the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, you are required to successfully complete seven written assignments.

You will develop one of the written assignments into a longer work based project. You will then take part in a professional discussion to demonstrate that you have met the learning objectives for the programme. This is called the End Point Assessment (EPA).

How it works?

When you choose Acacia, we’ll share your details with our preferred apprenticeship partner, Realise. As a national Ofsted-graded training provider, Realise will organise your funding and every aspect of the delivery of your programme.

As an approved CIPD centre, we’ll supply the CIPD qualification and provide Realise with feedback on any assessments your apprentices complete. Our CIPD courses are delivered Live Online or face to face in the Classroom, which makes it easy for students to fit their 20% ‘off-the-job’ training requirement around work.

Who is a HR Apprenticeship for?

Organisations with a wage bill of over £3 million a year will pay into the apprenticeship levy.

To make the most of this investment, apprenticeships can be used to:

  • Enhance the skills of your existing staff
  • Employ new talent
  • Maximise your return on investment

If your company doesn’t pay into the apprenticeship levy, the government will still fund 95% of the cost of the apprenticeship.
