HR Apprenticeships

How to make the most of a HR Apprenticeship

  • If you're an individual, a HR apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to fully fund your CIPD qualification
  • If you're a business, we provide flexible apprenticeship programmes to help you make the most of your levy
  • If you're an apprenticeship training provider, we can enhance your apprenticeship offering with our CIPD approved qualifications

Apprenticeships can be a complicated area. One of our CIPD advisers can provide you with the support you need to make sure you understand how to make the most of the apprenticeship levy. We will work with you to tailor a flexible programme so funds are being used to meet your business needs.

How your HR Apprenticeship will be assessed

To achieve the CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice, you'll complete four written assignments. For the CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management, you'll complete seven written assignments.

You will develop one of the written assignments into a longer work based project. You will then take part in a professional discussion to demonstrate that you have met the learning objectives for the programme. This is called the End Point Assessment (EPA).

Who is a HR Apprenticeship for?

Organisations with a wage bill of over £3 million a year will pay into the apprenticeship levy.

To make the most of this investment, apprenticeships can be used to:

  • Enhance the skills of your existing staff
  • Employ new talent
  • Maximise your return on investment

If your company doesn’t pay into the apprenticeship levy, the government will still fund 95% of the cost of the apprenticeship.
